St. Vrain to host four School Safety/Bond Community Meetings

Dear St. Vrain Valley Families:

Thank you for your continued partnership as we work together to advance the well-being and academic success of our students. We are very fortunate to have such committed families, outstanding students and dedicated teachers and staff that make our community a highly engaging and supportive environment for our children to thrive.

Delayed Start Today, February 2, Due to Inclement Weather

Due to deteriorating road conditions, the district is implementing a delayed start for TODAY, February 2. A delayed start means that schools and busses will begin 2.5 hours later than regularly scheduled start times. School days delayed due to inclement weather also require the following service adjustments:

Preschool:

  • Morning: Will be canceled
  • Afternoon: Will follow normal schedules

Kindergarten Programs:

2017 American Library Association Book Award Winners

John Newbery Medal
The Girl Who Drank the Moon by Kelli Barnhill

Newberry Honor Books:
Freedom Over Me: Eleven Slaves, Their Lives and Dreams Brought to Life by Ashley Bryan by Ashley Bryan
The Inquisitor's Tale: Or, The Three Magical Children and Their Holy Dog by Adam Gidwitz
Wolf Hollow by Lauren Wolk

Randolf Caldecott Medal
Radiant Child: The Story of Young Artist Jean-Michel Basquiat illustrated by Javaka Steptoe

Inclement Weather Procedures

Dear SVVSD Parents and Guardians:

Each year, our community experiences severe weather events that may result in the closure or delay of our schools.
